Summary: Show your SNAP card for a free ride to West Lafayette’s market, and visit the SNAP booth at Lafayette’s market for your free pass.

Because fresh, local produce should be available to everyone.

Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) members can ride to and from the Farmer’s Market for free.

Under the Double Up SNAP Program, families can also swipe their SNAP cards to get double the locally grown produce at the West Lafayette Farmer’s Market.

      From May through October:

      • The West Lafayette Farmer’s Market is open on Wednesday afternoons in Cumberland Park. All you have to do is show your CityBus driver your SNAP card when boarding. The free fare applies to the holder of the SNAP card only.
      • The Lafayette Farmer’s Market is open on Saturday mornings on 5th Street, between Main and Columbia Streets. Please visit the SNAP booth to get your free passes.
      • SNAP members ride free to and from both markets with CityBus.

Riders can download the MyCityBus app for route information and updates before going to the Farmer’s Market. The app is available for IOS and Google Play downloads.
